Visit to St Magnus Cathedral

Last week we went to visit the Cathedral to learn more about it's history.  The building was built by St Rognvald to honour his nephew St Magnus.  We learnt lots of interesting facts about it's Viking heritage and features from modern day history.

We were all surprised to learn that the Cathedral is owned by the people of Orkney and therefore to all of us!  Everyone is keen to continue to looking after this special place.
